Verified seabed event credentials

Verified evidence for the ocean floor.

ProofSea turns underwater observations into tamper-evident, time-stamped and geo-stamped proof for conservation monitoring, restoration MRV and critical underwater infrastructure protection.

Sensor agnostic AI-assisted Chain-of-custody

The gap

Underwater data is not the same as underwater proof.

Marine teams already collect video, sonar, sensor and survey data. The harder question comes afterwards: what happened, when did it happen, where did it happen, which source observed it, and can that record be trusted by regulators, partners, insurers or defence stakeholders?

ProofSea is built for that gap. It does not replace underwater robots, cameras or fixed nodes. It adds the trusted evidence layer above them.

The product

From observation to verified seabed event.

ProofSea creates a traceable event record from multiple underwater data sources, then packages the result as a verified credential that can support decisions, reports, claims and response workflows.

01

Observe

Ingest data from seabed nodes, cameras, AUVs, sonar, restoration pods, environmental sensors or third-party monitoring systems.

02

Detect

Flag relevant changes, anomalies or incidents using rule-based checks, AI-assisted review and source correlation.

03

Seal

Bind the event to time, location, source, evidence files and metadata using tamper-evident hashes and chain-of-custody records.

04

Share

Produce dashboards, exportable reports and verified credentials for conservation teams, infrastructure operators and authorised partners.

MRV and nature finance

Blue Carbon & Restoration MRV

Verifiable monitoring for seagrass restoration, biodiversity uplift, blue carbon projects and environmental performance commitments.

  • Project evidence trails
  • Before-after monitoring records
  • Auditable restoration milestones

Dual-use by design

Built for conservation teams and infrastructure protection groups.

Environmental and conservation monitoring

ProofSea helps marine managers prove what changed in a protected area or restoration site, connect field evidence to reporting obligations, and give funders or regulators a clearer audit trail.

Defence and critical infrastructure protection

ProofSea helps authorised teams preserve trusted evidence around seabed events, infrastructure disturbance, suspected interference and operational response, without requiring ProofSea to own the hardware layer.

Proof layer

What a ProofSea credential contains.

A ProofSea credential is an evidence-ready package that connects observation data to source, place, time, integrity and review status.

Tamper-evident records

Events are sealed with integrity checks that make later modification visible.

Source traceability

Each claim links back to the underlying observations, platform metadata and review history.

Evidence export

Generate shareable reports for managers, operators, insurers, funders or authorised public bodies.

Platform agnostic

Use existing cameras, AUVs, buoys, seabed nodes, pods or third-party monitoring platforms.

Deployment

Start with the evidence layer, not a new hardware programme.

ProofSea can be piloted on a live monitoring site, a restoration site, a cable route, an MPA zone or a simulated incident dataset.

Embedded layer

License ProofSea into existing AUV, camera, seabed node or survey-platform workflows.

Monitoring dashboard

Operate ProofSea as a project evidence portal for conservation, assets or restoration programmes.

Pilot package

Run a focused 8–12 week pilot around one site, one data stream and one reporting workflow.

Next step

Discuss a ProofSea pilot.

Use ProofSea to demonstrate trusted seabed evidence for a protected area, a critical underwater asset, or a restoration and blue carbon monitoring project.
